Out of the 17 billion 75 cl bottles of wine produced worldwide each year, 2.5 billion should receive screw caps in 2008, compared to only 300 million in 2003. The challenge is to eliminate any cork taste while ensuring good conservation of the wine and absolute uniformity between bottles.
