With growth of more than 9% in 2007 - 2008, the “Loire Bubbles” AOCs demonstrated that the market remains firm, exceeding for the first time the threshold of 300,000 hectolitres delivered. The largest increase came from Crémant de Loire, which leapt 22% to more than 89,500 hectolitres, closely following Saumur, which sold 93,000 hectolitres, an increase of 5%.
