With a budget of €878,000 the scheme involves 9 bodegas in Rioja. The idea is to magnify the action of wine against cardiovascular diseases and cancer by ten. The findings of this research will be published by the end of 2009, and result in the production of a wine whose resveratrol and quercetin contents should be about ten times the normal amount.
