The Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers (FIVI), became an official member of the European Confederation of Independent Winegrowers (CEVI) at the recent General Assembly that was held in Logroño in the Rioja region on 20 April 2009. Italy thus joins Portugal, Spain (Rioja), France, Slovenia, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Hungary in this movement of European independent winegrowers, adopting the common slogan: “Independent Winegrowers: Making Wine Out of Terroir”.
