Vinexpo changes its organisation

Vinexpo SAS has just reorganised itself and introduced a Supervisory Board and an Executive Board. As a result, Xavier de Eizaguirre was appointed as President of the Supervisory Board of Vinexpo Bordeaux, the international wine and spirits exhibition.

The executive director remains General Manager Robert Beynat, who is also member of the 4-man Executive Board chaired by the President of the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Laurent Courbu.

The same Executive Board was set up for the subsidiary Vinexpo Overseas and Ms. Dominique Hériard Dubreuil continues to preside over the exhibitions organised outside France. (Source: Vinexpo)

Hong Kong hopes to host Vinexpo again in 2010

While visiting Bordeaux for the city’s wine festival “Bordeaux Fête le Vin” last june, Yvonne Choi, the island’s Secretary of State for Trade and Economic Development referred to Vinexpo 2010, saying, “I cross my fingers and hope that we will be chosen again”. (Source: Sud Ouest)

Xavier de Eizaguirre is new President of Vinexpo

Xavier de Eizaguirre was appointed as President of Vinexpo Bordeaux, the international wine and spirits exhibition, during a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the company. Xavier de Eizaguirre, General Manager and Member of the Management Board of Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, takes over from Jean-Marie Chadronnier, director of CVBG Dourthe Kressmann, who presided over the exhibition during the three Vinexpos in Bordeaux in 2003, 2005 and 2007. Vinexpo Asia-Pacific 2008: success confirmed by final figures

The exhibition held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, welcomed 8,868 exclusively professional visitors, exactly 28.8% more than in 2006.
45% of these came from Hong Kong and Macao, while 55% were from 19 other Asian-Pacific countries: continental China (2,254) led with twice as many visitors as in 2006, followed by Korea (657), Taiwan (438), Japan (209), Singapore (203), Australia (175), Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, India and other countries in the region.
